We stand behind every nail.

Every BuildForge project is delivered with a written warranty. If something we built isn't right, we come back and make it right — no quibbling, no fine print games.

What's covered

2-Year Workmanship

Defects in labour and installation on all renovation and custom-build work performed by BuildForge crews.

1-Year Finishes

Paint, caulking, grout, trim and other finish work — touched up or repaired at no charge.

5-Year Building Envelope

Roofing, exterior cladding, windows and doors installed by BuildForge — covered against installation defects causing water or air infiltration.

10-Year Structural

Load-bearing framing, foundations and structural elements on all custom new builds and additions.

Manufacturer Warranties

All product warranties (appliances, mechanicals, fixtures) are passed through to the homeowner with documentation at handover.

What's not covered

  • Normal wear and tear, settlement cracks under 3mm, and seasonal expansion or contraction of wood.
  • Damage from owner-performed work, third-party trades, or modifications made after final handover.
  • Damage from neglect, misuse, fire, flood, severe weather, or acts of God.
  • Cosmetic issues reported more than 30 days after substantial completion.
  • Items covered under a separate manufacturer or Tarion warranty.

How to make a claim

  1. 01 — Email warranty@buildforge.ca or call 905-923-5495 with your project address, the date of substantial completion, and a description of the issue.
  2. 02 — Include photos or video where possible. We'll acknowledge every claim within 2 business days.
  3. 03 — For non-emergency items we'll schedule a site visit within 10 business days. Emergency items (active leaks, structural concerns, no heat in winter) get same-day or next-day response.
  4. 04 — Approved warranty work is performed by BuildForge crews at no cost to the homeowner.

This warranty is provided in addition to any statutory rights and Tarion coverage that may apply. Full warranty terms are issued in writing at project handover and govern in case of any conflict with this summary.
